A surface clean makes a urine spot disappear for about three days. We go after what is in the pad and underneath it, which is where the smell lives.
Why the smell keeps coming back
When a pet has an accident, only a fraction of it stays on the carpet face. The rest travels straight through into the pad and spreads out sideways, so a spot the size of a hand on top can be the size of a dinner plate underneath. Some of it reaches the subfloor.
Urine crystallises as it dries and goes quiet. Then humidity rises, or someone runs the swamp cooler, and those crystals reactivate and the room smells again. Every store-bought spray you have tried was cleaning the top two millimetres of a problem that is two centimetres deep.
What we do about it
- Find every deposit. We inspect the carpet and the perimeter, because old accidents rarely announce themselves and the visible spot is almost never the whole story.
- Saturate to the depth of the contamination. A treatment goes in at the volume needed to reach the pad, which means putting real liquid down.
- Break down the source. The treatment works on the urine salts and the bacteria producing the odor, so there is nothing left to reactivate later.
- Flush and extract. High-volume rinsing followed by heavy extraction pulls the contamination up and out of the carpet and pad.
- Finish and check. The area gets cleaned in with the rest of the room, and we tell you honestly whether we expect a full recovery.
When cleaning is not enough
We would rather tell you this before you pay than after. If a pet has been using the same corner for months, the pad underneath may be saturated past the point that flushing can recover, and urine can soak into a concrete slab or run under the tack strip. In that situation the honest fix is replacing the pad in that area and sealing the slab, then cleaning the carpet on top of it.

Everything we use is pet safe. Keep pets in another room while we work and off the carpet until it dries, mostly so they do not track through it. Once dry, the room is theirs again.
One more thing worth knowing
Animals return to a spot they can still smell, even when you cannot. Getting the odor fully out often stops the behavior on its own, which is why a proper treatment is usually cheaper than the second and third accident you were going to get anyway.

Can you get rid of the smell, not just the stain?
That is the whole job. Urine soaks through the carpet into the pad and often into the subfloor, so surface cleaning gets you a clean-looking spot that smells again in three days. We locate the affected areas, treat down through the layers and flush the contamination out.
Will the odor come back?
Not if the deposit was reachable. If urine has soaked into the subfloor or run under the tack strip over a long period, the pad may need replacing for a permanent fix, and we will tell you honestly if that is what we are looking at.
