The couch is dirtier than the carpet, and nobody thinks about it

Your sofa absorbs body oil, hair product, sunscreen, food, dust and whatever the dog brought in, and unlike the floor it never gets vacuumed properly. The fabric goes slightly darker everywhere a person sits, and because it happens over years the change is invisible until one cushion gets cleaned.

We clean upholstery with the same truck-mounted power we use on carpet, dialled down and run through hand tools sized for furniture. Heat and extraction do the work, so we are not soaking the frame or leaving foam behind.

What we clean

• Sofas, loveseats and sectionals. Cushions, backs, arms and the frame panels, plus under the cushions where the crumbs live.
• Recliners and accent chairs. Headrests and armrests get the most oil and the most attention.
• Dining chairs. Priced per seat, quick to do, dramatic on light fabric.
• Mattresses. A surface extraction pass, useful after an illness, an accident or a long-unused guest bed.
• Area rugs. Cleaned in place on a protective barrier, both faces of the fringe included.
• Car and RV interiors. Seats and floor carpet, on request.

Fabric comes first

Not every fabric can take hot water. Before anything gets wet we check the manufacturer's cleaning code and test in a hidden spot for color movement. Cotton and linen blends need a gentler approach. Synthetic microfiber handles a full wet clean easily. Anything labelled solvent-only gets a dry-solvent method instead.

If a piece is too delicate to clean safely, we will say so and leave it alone. A shrunken or bleeding cushion cover is a bad trade for a slightly cleaner sofa.

Dry times

Most upholstery is dry to the touch in two to four hours with a fan on it. Cushions with thick foam can take longer, so if you need the room that evening tell us and we will plan around it.

Upholstery is cheapest when it rides along with a carpet cleaning visit, because you are only paying for one trip out. A sofa and a couple of chairs add maybe thirty minutes to the job.
